The Skids are a Scottish punk rock and new wave band formed in Dunfermline in 1977. Rooted in late-1970s punk, their early Virgin singles built toward anthemic new wave hooks. "Into the Valley" reached the UK top ten in 1979, and the 1980 album "The Absolute Game" also reached the UK top ten. Singer Richard Jobson now fronts a stripped-back four-piece built for high-energy co-headline bills.
