The Marshall Tucker Band is an American band from Spartanburg, South Carolina, formed in 1972. Mixing blues, country, rock and jazz into an eclectic sound, they helped establish Southern rock in the early 1970s. They released their self-titled debut on Capricorn Records in 1973, and singer Doug Gray is the only original member still active in the band.
