Septicflesh is a Greek symphonic death metal band formed in Athens in 1990. Their music sets death metal riffing against full orchestral and choral arrangements. "Communion" (2008) was recorded with an orchestra of 80 musicians and a 32 voice choir, and was followed by "The Great Mass" (2011) and "Codex Omega" (2017). In 2019 they played their first show with a full orchestra and choir, in Mexico City.
