Popa Chubby

Popa Chubby is American blues rock guitarist Ted Horowitz from the Bronx, New York, who has used that stage name since the late 1980s. His records mix hard blues rock with fierce, soulful guitar rooted in Hendrix and classic Chicago blues. He won a national blues talent search on California radio and New Artist of the Year in 1992, and his Sony debut "Booty and the Beast" came out in 1995. Live shows center on stormy lead guitar and the long club circuit work he built through the 1990s.
