Johnny Sansone

Johnny Sansone is a New Orleans electric blues singer, harmonica player, accordionist, and guitarist rooted in Louisiana swamp rock and Cajun traditions. His gruff vocals and fierce harp work blend blues, boogie, and bayou sounds. He settled in New Orleans in 1990 after touring with John Lee Hooker and Robert Lockwood Jr.; "HOPELAND" (2018), produced by Anders Osborne, featured the North Mississippi Allstars. His shows pair powerhouse harmonica and accordion with raw, groove-driven roots blues.
