Marilyn Maye in Des Moines

Marilyn Maye is an American cabaret and jazz singer from Wichita, Kansas, known for her command of the Great American Songbook. Her delivery joins big, theatrical Broadway phrasing with a jazz singer's swing. She was nominated for the Best New Artist Grammy in 1966 and appeared 76 times on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson", a record for a singer. She performs symphony and big-band concerts nationwide.
