The Bill Frisell Trio is the working jazz trio led by American guitarist Bill Frisell, born in Baltimore and long based in Seattle. His tone blends jazz improvisation with folk, country, and Americana in lyrical, spacious arrangements. He rose on ECM in the 1980s with Paul Motian; Have a Little Faith (1992) and Nashville (1997) marked his roots-focused turn. Trio sets highlight telepathic small-group interplay and thematic journeys through his catalog.
