Wilco is an American rock band from Chicago, formed in 1994 after Uncle Tupelo split. Led by Jeff Tweedy, it blends alternative country roots with experimental indie rock and pop-minded songwriting. "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" (2002) and "A Ghost Is Born" (2004) brought wide acclaim, including a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. Live sets mix tight songs with improvisational stretches from the six-piece lineup.
