Wheatus is an American rock band formed on New York City's Lower East Side in 1995 by singer-guitarist Brendan B. Brown. Their sound mixes alternative rock and pop punk hooks with earnest, story-driven lyrics. The 2000 single "Teenage Dirtbag" reached No. 1 in Australia and No. 2 in the UK, and their self-titled debut went platinum in Britain. Live sets lean on those era-defining hits alongside deep cuts from a long-running catalog.
