The Steepwater Band

The Steepwater Band is a Chicago blues-rock quartet led by guitarist-vocalist Jeff Massey, with Joe Winters, Eric Saylors, and Joe Bishop. Their sound pairs crackling city blues with strut-inducing rock hooks in a style the group has honed since forming in 1998. Jeff Massey named the band after a cargo vessel he spotted on Lake Michigan. Live sets trade on brass-knuckles honest energy, shuffle-ready grooves, and roots-rock grit.
