The Hot Sardines

The Hot Sardines are an American jazz band formed in New York City in 2007 by singer Elizabeth Bougerol and pianist Evan Palazzo. They play hot jazz of the pre-war era, with washboard and tap dance percussion. Their major label debut "The Hot Sardines" (2014) topped the US iTunes jazz chart and spent over a year on the Billboard jazz chart. They have appeared at the Newport, Montreal and London jazz festivals.
