The Hooters are a rock band from Philadelphia, founded in 1980 by Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian. Named after a nickname for the melodica, they blend rock with reggae, ska and folk, using melodica, mandolin and accordion alongside guitars. The double-platinum album "Nervous Night" (1985) gave them hits such as "And We Danced" and "Day by Day", and their Live Aid set that year brought international recognition.
