The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is a New Orleans brass ensemble formed in 1977 from Fairview Baptist Church marching-band veterans. They fuse funk and bebop into second-line brass, pushing parade music toward modern jazz energy. "My Feet Can't Fail Me Now" (1984) and a 2023 Grammy for Best American Roots Performance anchor their catalog. Shows bring parade volume and call-and-response to clubs and festivals.
