The Dangerous Summer are an alternative rock and emo band from Ellicott City, Maryland, formed in 2006 and named after the Ernest Hemingway novel. Their sound is built on passionate, anthemic melodic rock with influences from Jimmy Eat World and Third Eye Blind. They broke through with the album "Reach for the Sun" in 2009 and later released "Gravity" in 2024. Their live work includes full-band and acoustic performances drawn from that catalog.
