The Bones of J.R. Jones in Ottawa

The Bones of J.R. Jones is the solo project of central New York singer-guitarist Jonathon Linaberry. He plays blues- and folk-rooted songs with punk-forged energy, often as a one-man band on guitar or banjo while stomping a modified drum kit. Linaberry launched the alias in 2012; the 2021 album "A Celebration" drew on Southwest road imagery. Shows hit with stomping rhythms and unvarnished roots storytelling.
