The Barr Brothers

The Barr Brothers are a Montreal indie folk band founded in 2006 by brothers Brad and Andrew Barr. Their sound blends Appalachian ballads, North African rhythms, and rock revelry through pedal steel, harp, and brass. "Sleeping Operator" (2014) and "Queens of the Breakers" (2017) earned three Juno Award nominations. Live sets pair methodical songwriting with poly-rhythmic improvisation from solemn to celebratory.
