The Acacia Strain is a deathcore band formed in 2001 in Chicopee, Massachusetts. Vincent Bennett has fronted the group from the start, writing lyrics steeped in misanthropy and nihilism over downtuned riffs with sludge and doom metal in them. "Coma Witch" (2014) reached number 31 on the Billboard 200, the band's highest placing, and "Slow Decay" (2020) followed.
