Styx is an American rock band formed in Chicago in 1972. The group pairs progressive rock ambition with arena rock hooks, layering synthesizers, guitars and multi-part vocal harmonies. Hits such as "Come Sail Away", "Babe", "Renegade" and "Mr. Roboto" came from a run of albums including "The Grand Illusion" (1977), "Paradise Theatre" (1981) and the rock opera "Kilroy Was Here" (1983).
