Screeching Weasel
rockalternative rock
Screeching Weasel is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 in Prospect Heights, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Their pop punk pairs Ramones-style melodies with snotty, often humorous lyrics about teen life and punk culture. Albums include "My Brain Hurts" (1991) on Lookout! Records and "Bark Like a Dog" (1996) on Fat Wreck Chords; many later pop-punk acts cite them as an influence. Live sets are brisk, high-speed punk rallies built around short, singalong anthems.
