Santana is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1966 by guitarist Carlos Santana. The group pioneered Latin rock, blending Afro-Latin percussion with blues rock, psychedelia and jazz fusion. Their 1969 Woodstock set brought international fame, and "Abraxas" (1970) and "Supernatural" (1999) became landmarks, the latter winning eight Grammys. They entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
