Russian Circles are a Chicago-based instrumental rock trio of guitarist Mike Sullivan, drummer Dave Turncrantz, and bassist Brian Cook. Their post-metal instrumentals draw on prog, motorik, and underground metal into long-form, seismic suites. Since forming in 2004, they have released eight albums, including "Gnosis" (2022) and "Nine" (2026), with a reputation for quality over hit singles. Live shows build on that work ethic through extensive international touring.
