Peter Karp is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer from Bergen County, New Jersey, raised partly in southern Alabama. His blues-rooted songs blend country, R&B, and swamp rock with wordplay about everyday lives along the Jersey Turnpike. Mick Taylor guested on his album "The Turning Point," and duet records with Sue Foley in 2010 and 2012 widened his audience before solo albums in 2017, 2018, and 2020. Live, he delivers muscular slide guitar and soulful, storytelling blues.
