Mother Fortune is a seven-piece hip hop group from Chicago built around rapper Shami and vocalist Moira with a full band. Funk, jazz, and soul fuel their boisterous songs with guitar, bass, trombone, and drums. Lyrics move from romantic lullabies to defiant call-outs with quirky, Funkadelic-styled breakdowns. Live sets aim for high-energy, keep-you-guessing party vibes.
