Michael Mayo is an American jazz singer and composer from Los Angeles who blends jazz with neo soul and R&B. He treats his voice as an instrument, layering close harmonies, beatboxing and crooning. A graduate of the New England Conservatory and the Thelonious Monk Institute, he has toured with Herbie Hancock. He released "Bones" in 2021 and "Fly" in 2024, the latter nominated for a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album.
