Mass of the Fermenting Dregs is a Japanese trio from Kobe, formed in 2002 and nicknamed "Masu Dore." They blend shoegaze and post-hardcore guitar work with melodic vocals, often from bassist Natsuko Miyamoto. The group paused in 2012 and returned in 2015 with drummer Isao Yoshino and guitarist Naoya Ogura. Live shows are high-volume, tightly arranged, and physically intense.
