Marshall Crenshaw is a Detroit born singer, songwriter and guitarist whose power pop draws on 1950s rock and roll and 1960s pop. His 1982 debut single "Someday Someway" reached the Billboard Top 40, built on the groove of Gene Vincent's "Lotta Lovin'". After playing John Lennon in Beatlemania, he portrayed Buddy Holly in the film La Bamba and has released 13 albums across four decades. His live band shows are celebrated for full band interplay and the signature energy of his rootsy, melodic rock.
