Machine Head
metalheavy metal
Machine Head is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California, formed in 1991 by vocalist/guitarist Robb Flynn. Their sound fuses groove metal and thrash with aggressive, riff-driven songwriting. Debut "Burn My Eyes" (1994) broke through in Europe; 2007's "The Blackening" earned a Grammy nomination for "Aesthetics of Hate". Live sets deliver punishing, headbanging affairs built around decades of heavy metal anthems.
