EPMD is an American hip hop duo from Brentwood, Long Island, made up of Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith (PMD). Their tracks layer funk and rock breaks into punchy East Coast beats and street-smart lyrics. Debut album Strictly Business (1988) went gold on hits like "You Gots to Chill"; "Crossover" (1992) reached No. 42 on the Hot 100. Live they deliver classic boom-bap sets with DJ-driven crates and Hit Squad-era energy.
