Emmet Swimming is a rock band from Fairfax, Virginia, formed in 1990 at George Mason University and fronted by singer and guitarist Todd Watts. The name refers to Emmett Till, a nod to the idea that a boy should be swimming in the river, not dying in it. The band released "Arlington to Boston" on Epic in 1996 and "Big Night Without You" in 1998, and played the 1998 H.O.R.D.E. tour.
