Devendra Banhart

Devendra Banhart is a singer-songwriter and visual artist, born in Houston in 1981 and raised largely in Caracas, Venezuela. The music draws on psychedelic folk and is often associated with the freak folk and New Weird America movements. Albums include "Rejoicing in the Hands" (2004), "Cripple Crow" (2005), "Mala" (2013) and "Flying Wig" (2023). The drawings have been exhibited at institutions including SFMOMA.
