David Mesquitic

Dr. David Mesquitic is a jazz pianist and educator based in Colorado. He teaches jazz piano at Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado while leading his trio and quintet. He earned a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin and won the 2022 Eleanor Alexander Stripling Award for Excellence in Jazz Studies. His groups blend hard bop, blues, swing, and Latin ideas in original compositions and classic quintet repertoire.
