Counterpunch in Chicago

Counterpunch is a punk rock band from the Chicago, Illinois area rooted in early DIY shows around Palatine. They play melodic skate punk with three-part harmonies and anthemic choruses, mixing 1990s skate punk with modern melodic hardcore angst. Self-titled debut (2006) on Punch-It Records and "Bruises" (2014) led to years of U.S. and international punk touring. Shows are fast, pit-focused sets with gang vocals and skate-punk drive.
