Coal Chamber

Coal Chamber is an American nu metal band from Los Angeles, formed in 1992 by vocalist Dez Fafara and guitarist Miguel Rascón. Their sound mixes gothic atmosphere with downtuned guitars, hip-hop rhythms, and Fafara's harsh, rhythmic vocals. Self-titled debut Coal Chamber (1997) on Roadrunner spawned the single Loco; the group reunited after hiatuses in 2011 and 2022. Live sets lean on crowd singalongs to deep cuts like Sway and the band's dark, tribal stage energy.
