California Standard is a pop rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area that describes its sound as cinematic. Citing Kings of Leon, the Menzingers and early Coldplay as influences, the band blends alt-radio rock and pop hooks into slice-of-life stories. Its second EP, "Time Spent With You" (2025), looks at how relationships change over time, drawing on alt-rock, Americana and singer-songwriter music.
