Black Joe Lewis
rockpop
Black Joe Lewis is an Austin, Texas singer and guitarist who leads Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears. His music fuses vintage blues, soul, and R&B with gritty rock and roll, shaped by shouters like Howlin' Wolf and James Brown. The Honeybears formed in 2007, and their album "Tell 'Em What Your Name Is!" appeared on Lost Highway in 2009. Live shows are raw, high-energy soul-blues romps known for Lewis leaping off risers and wailing on his knees.
