Atmosphere is an American hip hop duo from Minneapolis, formed in 1994 by rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and producer Ant (Anthony Davis). Their beats are soulful and sample-heavy, with Slug's verses focused on heartbreak, addiction, and Midwest street life. The Rhymesayers release "God Loves Ugly" (2002) anchored their underground following. Shows are intimate, story-driven rap sets with Ant running live production.
