Assembly of Dust is a New York rock and roots band formed in 2002 by Strangefolk singer Reid Genauer after that group's breakup. Their songs blend blues and R&B grooves with country-accented melodies and poetic lyrics rooted in early-1970s Americana. The live album "The Honest Hour" (2004) and studio set "Recollection" (2007) helped establish them in jam-band circles. Concerts showcase extended improvisation wrapped around tight, hook-driven songwriting.
