Big Ears Festival is an annual multi-genre music festival held in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, since 2009. Its programming spans indie rock, contemporary classical, minimalism, jazz, metal and electronica across theaters in the city center. Founded by Ashley Capps, it has presented Philip Glass in 2009 and Steve Reich as curator in 2014. It usually runs over three to four days in late March or early April.
