Laidback Luke w. Tommie Sunshine, Junior Sanchez & Guests

On September 6th, Laidback Luke heads to Superior Ingredients Rooftop for an open air night in Brooklyn with Tommie Sunshine, Junior Sanchez, Takes Two, and Sarindipity. The lineup brings together several generations of house and club music, from Dutch house history and New York legends to local energy built for a summer rooftop.

Laidback Luke has long been recognized as one of dance music's most skilled DJs and producers. A Dutch artist and two time Kung Fu World Champion, he built his name through fast, precise mixing, bold club records, and a sound shaped by early Dutch house. Across more than two decades, he has moved between underground spaces, major stages, and international club rooms while keeping a raw, floor focused edge at the center of his sets.

His current CONTINUUM chapter follows a 78 date CODE/RED world tour in 2025 and brings him back to the tougher, funkier side of his sound. Rather than leaning into trends, Luke is reconnecting with the rough drums, bouncy rhythms, deeper house pressure, and indie club influence that made his early work stand out. It is a fitting sound for Superior Ingredients Rooftop, where skyline views and open air movement give the night room to build from sunset into after dark.

The bill also brings Tommie Sunshine back into the frame. A Chicago raised, Brooklyn based DJ, producer, remixer, and songwriter, Sunshine came up through Midwest rave culture and early Chicago house clubs before becoming known for his rock and alternative remixes, original productions, and wide reaching collaborations. His credits include work with Felix Da Housecat, Miss Kittin, Marc Romboy, James Murphy, DJ Hell, and The Disco Fries, along with the Ultra Records compilation *Ultra.Rock Remixed*, a Billboard number one remix of Yoko Ono's “Give Peace a Chance,” a Katy Perry megamix, and music for Konami's *Dance Dance Revolution* series.

Junior Sanchez adds another major New York connection to the lineup. Raised in New Jersey and immersed in New York club culture as a teenager, Sanchez signed his first record deal at 15 and went on to build a career across DJing, production, songwriting, labels, and artist development. His releases on Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, and Defected, along with his work through Brobot Records and KULTUR, reflect a career rooted in house music's past while still supporting the artists shaping its next era.

With Takes Two and Sarindipity rounding out the lineup, the night brings a full rooftop bill to Superior Ingredients. Expect house music history, sharp selections, open air views, and Laidback Luke's CONTINUUM chapter landing in New York for a late summer night above Brooklyn.
