Freshly Pressed presents: Roni Amitai, Connie, Asha Jasz, Harry Fletcher, Jared Maharaj

Freshly Pressed returns to Dead Letter No. 9 on August 29th for its third and final installment of its summer residency—one you won’t want to miss. This event will also serve as a fundraiser for Opportunity Music Project, a New York City nonprofit providing free, high-quality music education to children from low-income families through private lessons, orchestra training, composition, and mentorship.

In Cargo, Detroit-based DJ, producer, and performance artist Roni Amitai + Connie join Freshly Pressed co-founders Asha Jasz and Vivian Wang. With more than a decade behind the decks, Roni’s vinyl-driven sets move through house, electro, and minimal, pairing hypnotic grooves with psychedelic undertones. She has released music through Satya, Paulum, BladeHouse, and NG Trax, with a collaborative project alongside BAUMB forthcoming.

A fixture in New York’s underground electronic scene for nearly two decades, Connie brings a deeply rhythmic mix of forward-thinking house and techno, shaped by her parallel life as a drummer and bass player. A longtime ReSolute resident, she has played alongside some of techno’s most respected names and toured internationally from Brazil to Dubai. Her productions released as Connie Yin, Constar, and alongside Karina Chaczabian as C&K, have appeared digitally and on vinyl through labels including Bedrock Records.

She's joined by Asha Jasz, a devoted record digger whose selections span underground house, techno, electro, minimal, ambient, and timeless classics. She is an integral part of vinyl-only label Brooklyn Sway, where she recently contributed a track to BKS08, and co-founded Freshly Pressed to raise funds for music-focused nonprofits throughout New York City.

Rounding out the Cargo lineup is Vivian Wang, a Beijing-born, New York-based DJ known for her high-energy sets, rare vinyl finds, and genre-defying musical storytelling. A co-founder of Freshly Pressed and a key figure behind Brooklyn Sway, she has shared stages with Cassy, Danny Tenaglia, Seth Troxler, Juan Atkins, and David Morales, building a reputation for adventurous selections that connect dance floors across generations and cultures.

In the Foyer, E’Klektik’s Harry Fletcher and Jared Maharaj take over from 9PM–3AM.

A native New Yorker inspired by his family’s roots at Club Shelter, Harry Fletcher moves between deep, soulful, and tribal house, minimal, and techno, and has performed throughout New York and internationally, including appearances in Japan.

Born and raised in New York, Jared Maharaj moves between deep, floor-ready house and hypnotic, dub-influenced techno. He has performed alongside Youandewan, Boris Werner, and Gianmarco Orsini, with appearances for Golden Record, Vigilante, Signal, and 333. Together, Harry and Jared co-run E’Klektik, the party and collective Harry founded in 2024.
