Xasthur

Xasthur is the project of California musician Scott Conner, founded in 1995 with roots in harsh Nordic black metal. Conner developed a depressive, unpredictable sound with detailed songwriting, varied guitar tunings, and drum programming at its center. He ended the project in 2010, returned under the name in 2015, and later expanded it again on "Inevitably Dark" (2023) and "Open to Misinterpretation." Live shows shaped recent material on both sides of the Atlantic.
