Underworld in Pasadena (California)

Underworld is the British electronic duo of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith, formed in Cardiff in 1987. Their music pairs hypnotic techno and progressive house with Hyde's spoken-word vocals and Smith's meticulous production. They broke through with dubnobasswithmyheadman (1994) and the anthem "Born Slippy (Nuxx)." Live shows are visceral, marathon electronic sets built on decades of stagecraft.
