Truly is a Seattle rock trio of Robert Roth on vocals and guitar, Hiro Yamamoto on bass, and Mark Pickerel on drums. Their sound blends grunge-era heaviness with psychedelic, overdriven guitar and Roth's smoky lead vocals. The seminal debut "Fast Stories...from Kid Coma" (1995) paired Yamamoto, a Soundgarden co-founder, with Pickerel of Screaming Trees. Live, the original lineup reunites for cathartic sets rooted in Pacific Northwest underground history.
