Trans-Siberian Orchestra is an American rock group founded in 1996 by producer Paul O'Neill with Jon Oliva, Al Pitrelli and Robert Kinkel. The band stages rock operas that set symphonic and neoclassical arrangements against hard rock guitars, with a full string section behind the band. Its albums include "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" (1996) and "Beethoven's Last Night" (2000). The concerts are known for lasers, pyrotechnics and moving trusses, and the group donates a share of its proceeds to local charities.
