The Temptations
r&b
The Temptations are an American vocal group from Detroit, formed in 1961 and central to the Motown sound. Their sound moved from silky soul harmonies to psychedelic soul and funk. Hits like "My Girl" (1964) and "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" (1972) led to the first Grammy won by a Motown act and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1989. Shows are known for close harmony and synchronized choreography.
