The Strokes
rockalternative rock
The Strokes are an American rock band from New York City, formed in 1998. Their lean guitar-driven sound helped spark the early 2000s garage rock revival. Debut album "Is This It" (2001) drew wide acclaim, and "The New Abnormal" (2020) won the Grammy for Best Rock Album. Their live shows pack tight, hook-filled sets drawn from across their catalogue.
