The Intruders
r&bsoul
The Intruders were a Philadelphia soul vocal group formed in 1960 and shaped by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. Their harmony records helped define Philly soul with romantic, story-led lyrics. Cowboys to Girls (1968) was their signature hit, with later staples such as I'll Always Love My Mama from Save the Children (1973). Live bills revolve around those Gamble-era classics for R&B audiences.
