The Hold Steady is a rock band from Brooklyn, New York, formed by singer Craig Finn and guitarist Tad Kubler after their earlier band Lifter Puller. Known for lyrically dense, classic rock driven storytelling, their songs return to drug addiction, religion and redemption and to recurring characters set in Minneapolis. Albums include "Separation Sunday" (2005) and "Boys and Girls in America" (2006).
