The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band

jazz

The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band is a New Orleans-style jazz ensemble co-led by trumpeter Simon Wettenhall and Grammy-winning pianist Conal Fowkes. Their driving sound champions the ongoing relevance of New Orleans jazz. For decades the group was Woody Allen's band of choice for films, tours, and weekly shows, appearing in movies including Midnight in Paris and Sweet and Lowdown. Chick Corea, Marian McPartland, and Diana Krall sat in during its twenty-year Cafe Carlyle residency.
