The Charities
r&bsoul
The Charities are a West Coast soul band fronted by singer Brock Van Pelt, blending soul, funk, and jazz with a tight rhythm section and crisp background vocals. Their Southern California sound pairs smooth melodies with a straight-ahead, authentic approach rooted in classic R&B. In 2025 they released "Fatal Attraction" on Colemine Records, produced by Anthony Masino at Penrose Recordings. Live sets deliver dynamic, dance-ready energy built on groove, harmony, and nostalgic sweet-soul charm.
